Default 17x11 vs 17x9

Will going with the 17x11s over the 17x9s help traction that much? I know that it is great in the looks department, I'm just wondering if the traction gained (if any) would be worth the extra money spent on rear tires. I'm already taken care of with a set of DOT slicks. I'm just wondering for "everyday" use if it's much difference.

You're not going to gain that much. It will only feel like you gained some because the wheels are going to be heavier.

if you get 11 inch rear tires know this up front, you will buying Nitto 555Rs frequently or be buying some expensive (~300 a tire) GSD3s if you want to hook up, all the cheap tires dont hook up, nittos dont hook up all that well either fully inflated, but they are decent.
