Default Just put on some Nitto's...WOW!

At first they wouldn't hook because they were dead cold, so I did a little burnout after I literally just put them on. Let's just say there is a nice long black strip on the road and they hooked great. One question. On the service sheet it says 35 PSI. That seems a little too high. I searched and couldn't find a correct thread stating which tire pressure seems good for daily driving. I would imagine around 30 PSI for the road, and 25-20 PSI for the track, even though I won't be using the tires on the track that much. I'll be purchasing M/T JUST for the track.

Haha yeah when i first put mine on i was all excited and forgot they needed to be warmed up in order for them to hook and all they did was spin...i was very disappointed. but once i warmed em up i loved em. right around 30psi is fine for the road and a lot of guys recommend right around 25 for the track.

If you want your nittos to last, run them at ~22 psi on the street. If you run too much air in them, the center of the tire will wear out way before the outer parts do.

When i purchased my first set about 4 years ago i kept them at 28 driving around. Within the first 1k miles, i noticed the middle was wearing much mre than the outer. Never kept them above 22 after that. At the track, I'd bring them down to around 20.

I had them for about 13k miles, finally the middle started to disappear.

Yeah, me too. I was like, WTF?!?! I heard 25-30 PSI is good for the street, even on a daily driven vehicle that gets good miles. I may drive them to about 25 PSI, that seems fine. It felt good seeing actual BLACK on the pavement, instead of these wimpy little burnout marks, these leave a nice one. But yeah, when I first fired them up and drove on them I was like uhhhhhhh, ok.

Edit: 22 PSI it is. I wouldn't ask them to drop it because of safety regulations of what they are supposed to. I'll drop it down to 22. Thanks guys!

Speedy, what part of Chicago are you in? I used to live in Algonquin. Are you guys sure 22 PSI is fine for a daily driven vehicle that gets a lot of miles? I'll be removing my front sway bar as well. By the way, is that 22 cold or warm PSI? Dropped it down to 22 PSI, I'll see how it works.

Ive heard 22 for daily driven on 555Rs, and about 25 for 555s... and 16 at the track for the 555Rs, this is only what Ive heard though from friends with them... Since I havent driven on my 555Rs much at all I cant tell yet.
