How disappointed will I be?
I bout my A4 stock with some Nittos on it about 6 months ago. Had a blast, and just replaced the rims. 18" back, 17" front. Wrapped em in Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. My question is, how disappointed will I be with my times going from a DR to a Street Tire. Thanks.
Best time before was a 13.7

Heating up a street tire won't do much, they are made to be resistive to heat. Just give them a quick spin to clean them off and try flooring it off the line. You might be able to hook just fine with your mods. If not, try easing into it a touch slower until you get it just right. I think you should be able to pull close to or the same times.

Drop the puppies down to 18 or 19 psi, bypass the water box, spin the a little bit to clean them up and when you launch, just floorboard the gas pedal and you might be surprised. I don't think you will lose much e.t. at all. That is the way I launched my 98 GT Mustang (5 speed) and it did give me a better 60' time than my M/T Drag Radials.
