Default Cats or No cats

I have a quiestion. I am looking at doing a new exhaust set up on my 02 trans am. i wil most likely be goin with the qtp headers and slp loudmouth exhaust, but i am wondering if i should get a ory or one with the highflow cats already in it. I want the exhaust to loud but i don;t want it to sound like crap. Can anyone help me out

I have pacesetters, TSP catted y, and slp loudmouth and it's really quiet. It sounds nice and deep, and full throttle is nice, but its alot quieter than ORY pipe setups. I heard that ORY pipes sound terrible with loudmouth anyways.

Yes the sound better to me catted and sound awful and loud with a ory but thats my opinion! But it has plenty of noise with the cats esp when ya step on it!

I am going to go with QTP's and ory-pipe but staying with the SS muffler with a cut out. Everyone talked me right out of the Loudmouth with headers.

I like my new cats

The cats will refine the tone, make it much more pleasant. You will hate the ORY loudmouth setup, its RASP city.

Another vote for cats....
I have a MAC ORY, but I'm about to get some 2.5" in-out carsound cats and have them welded into my Y-pipe...

I'll go with the smallest version of cats. I'm sure they'll fit...

Yeah for awhile i ran mac mid headers with no cats and a borla exhaust with open plate. It was the worst sound so raspy and just anoying i went back with cats on that set up. Now with my true duals i have now i am running no cats and love it but its a totaly differnt sound all together. so as far as your set up i think keep cats as far as sound goes

i see you live in fairbury? i usde to live in pontiac, but anyway i will be installing QTP's with the ORy here in about 2 weeks, i also have the LM. if your young and you want to be noticed then run no cats, but in the small town of fairbuy 3,500 i belive. the cops there r HUGE DICKS also so i would get the catted y. good luck.
