Default Gear Whine FIXED! Look here to see how.

Had brand new 4.11's, GM, that started whining after break in. My shop deburred the gears, whatever that means, and replace the oil with 80W-140, and the really annoying whine is GONE!! I don't know if it was the deburring or the heavy oil, but one or both has done the job.

Both are responsible for the decreased whine.

Yes. But this is not a cure all. What I mean is this won't fix all of the gear whining problems.
