18's ride better than stock 17's.....

Default 18's ride better than stock 17's.....

I got chrome C6's 18x8.5(+56mm offset) 245/40 & 18x10.5 (+58 mm offset) 295/30 the rears measure close to 305 though. I was preparing for the ride to be a little bit more rough, but it is actually smoother, is this usually the case?

You probably have better riding tires this time around. All other factors being equal, it's hard to see the ride getting better with lower profile tires.
