Default Cam and blower combo

My friend has a Vortec YSI running 22-24lbs of boost. His current cam is not ideal at 248/252 .558/.575 on 110LS.
His question is how much power do you guys think is being left on the table vs. picking a cam with say a 114 or better LSA or something more ideal to his setup?

I dont think this matters to much but just in case this is a Ford 306.

Thanks,

Possibly none. Consider this, as rpm increases the time for charge short circuiting decreases. There is more power to be had from purging the cylinder/chamber of exhaust than a little bleed off of airflow which diminishes with rpm. What kind of power/performance does he have?

The car is pretty sick. Full drag. Probably making (on the low side) 600 wheel.
Ran 10.4 at 132 1st and only run with no dial in.

With 21 psi I made 754rwhp. But when I last dynoed I made 680rwhp on 18 psi and went 144mph. I went 9.4@144 with no changes. I have been running a 236/246//114 cam and shifting at 7000. I'd hope with that much boost that he would run more like 145-150mph with a "full drag" setup. Renegade YSi guys run 150-157mph all the time at 3200 raceweight.

I have pretty much been the only YSi LS1 guy running at the moment.

Try www.superchargerhelp.com, www.corral.net, or www.turbomustangs.com for some more input.

Pro Stock,
So as an educated guess, do you think there is a good amount of power left on the table than if he went with a better cam. 30, 40, 50, 60 hp.
