Default What grade and brand of oil do you use in your LS1?

As search seems to be a little temperamental these days and I haven't seen a thread like this for a while.

Post up what brand and grade/weight oil you use .

Mobil 1 10W30 in my LS1. It's a summer only car, so 10W30 is fine per the manual for warmer temps......

Mobil 1 5w30. Can't go wrong, why bother with the exotic stuff unless it's heavily modified. Hey, since you're in england, how much is a gallon of gas for you? Or liter, however it's sold there.

bloody expensive in short.

Due to EU bollox it's all litres. Currently ~91pence per litre. That's about £3.45 per US gallon. It sounds far worse when converted to dollars because of course the exchange rate doesn't favour £ to $. But any how with $1.78 to the £ that makes:

1 US gallon of petrol = $6.14 and you guys think you have it bad. Plus your GNP per head (Gross National Product) is slightly better than here in the UK.
