Question want to rid of 80's series

I bought the flowmaster catback right after I bought my car long before i was a member. Then i didn't know they sucked so bad. I would like to get something new but don't want to shell out 300+ bucks. Is there a muffler that will directly fit in place of the 80's series muffler? I was looking at the hooker aero chamber but it looks like it has a flange on it.

Magnaflow is the best flowing standard muffler.. it will fit with the stock pipes and location. give them a call, their customer service is really good.

(im not including bullets or race mufflers)

Magnaflow would be a good choice, for a direct muffler replacement.

hooker aerochamber sounds pretty damn good. It'll weld right up.

don't feel bad man, I did the same thing. I was thinking about changing the muffler bet decided to go with a cutout instead for now, will probably change out to magnaflow or hooker later

I had the flowmaster and switched it out for a Magnaflow..... sound at idle is a little quieter but it has an overall better tone....
