Two Potential Purchases
~ 02, 20.8k - $17,000
~ 01 T/A, Ram Air? 50k - $16,900
The camaro is very tempting because of the color and mileage but the T/A looks bad *** but seems a little over priced... Which could I walk away with for a good price?

I am preferential to the T/A and mine is the color of that Z. But it depends on what you really want. The T/A is nicer IMO in look than the Camaro. I don't think the T/A is overpriced for 50K miles at all. The Camaro in the other hand is.......it's a 4 yr old car new that was maybe 24-25K max.
If you seek the T/A make sure 'WS6' is an RPO code on the drivers door decal, wouldn't want you to think you bought a real WS6 to find out you paid 3K more for that car knowing it's a regular T/A.

Have them both checked out by a shop that you trust if at all possible. From my experience a higher mileage car (not that 50k is high) that is in excellent shape would be the obvious choice over a lower mileage car that has been driven all to hell.
And if they are both in great condition-then get the one you like the look of better. If you think the T/A looks bad *** then get it, not that I am at all partial to T/As

Assuming both cars drive well, and have no obvious signs of problems, the only difference between the two is mileage and apperance. Under their skin it's the same exact car. The Camaro has the mileage advantage, but that only matters if you like the looks equally.
Get which ever one you think looks best. If you like 'em equally, get the lower mileage car.
PS. $17K for an '02 Z28 with 20K miles isn't out of line at all if the car is at a dealer. That's about the norm for my area.
