Is it wroth turning my LT1 into a LT4, and does anyone have a web-site where I can get the whole conversion kit for cheap?

On a stock bottom you will be better served with ported stock castings. This is not even getting into the fact the LT4 intake is no longer available because every newbie who wants to mod his car fasley believes he has to have those parts . Even a BASIC amount of research will reveal it is nowhere near the ultimate setup you likely believe and isn't particularly good from the dollar standpoint either.

Not saying those are bad parts, the heads and intake have a place on aggressive strokers, just not on stock bottoms. The HOT cam can be OK on stock bottoms but it's popularity is less due to results than to the ignorant believing it is "the way to go" and the number of them using it and praising it makes it popular which further sucks more people who didn't do any research in. It is a visious cycle of ignorance that can be broken with just a little research. Again the cam can be OK but is not as wonderful as magazines and such would have you believe.

You want to do heads and cam contact a vendor on the right about a package you will spend less and get more.

The LE packages make more HP than a LT4 conversion; I don't know about the way less part, there are a lot of supporting parts necesary to maximize a LE package.
However, LT4s are not all that!
