Default Those of you with Gm847 & CC306

Im trying to decide which cam to go with here i know they have similar specs with the lift being slightly higher on Gm847. Ill be running a 100 shot too with stock heads and a tune after the Cam. Im going with a heavy duty valvetrain dual springs, hardened rods, etc and a stage 5 spec. Im torn between the two cams and i was wondering if the 847 needs to be revved higher than the 306 to achieve more power. Thanks for any insight

Recommended RPM range with matching components
Minimum RPM 2800
Maximum RPM 6800
Valve Float 7200

right off the cam card for the 847 I rev mine to 6300-6400. Havn't dynoed the car though, but it seems to pull right up that

I use a CC306 and shift it at 6200- 6500 rpm's (I've spun it up to 7 grand a few times, but to no avail with these heads). I use stock iron heads with spring only upgrades, and it hasn't failed me yet. I went 12.01 on motor in the heat last season and an 11.42 on a 100 shot in November (still a sticky heated day). Just put a tune up on her last weekend and I think it's about time to get at it again. I'll see if I can't turn up the nitrous jets a little bit and get some better numbers.
