Default TT II I have a question?

I am ordering me a set 17x9.5 /17x11 from Tom.

Aparently these wheels do not have a clearcoat finish from ARE. Im assuming these wheels are aluminum someone correct me if im wrong. Doesnt aluminum corrode when exposed to oxygen. I've read posts from others complaining about the shine. Has anyone on here cleared there wheels or do you just buff them all the time? Im not flaming these wheels just want to shine them up and have them stay that way....I'm ordering them on monday thanks for your help.

I ordered my set Friday from Tom as well.. I'm gonna have them powdercoated clear once they get here.. I'll post up some pics when they're done.

Once you clear them they will look dull like they need to be polished.

^^ I've heard at one time that they will look like they almost have a yellowish tint to them if you clear them... I ask the powdercoating place about this & she verified it as well, but she said it was something to do with the material... She says they no longer use that particular brad anymore & that they come out looking fine with the new stuff... I'm curious as to why or how they would look dull after having them powdercoated clear?? Any info on that would be great!

i had a set of wheels, truck wheels, but american racing polished wheels. they looked better clear coated then they did brand new in the box without the clear. my friend works at a dealer and sprayed all 4 for 50 bucks. it was a great deal and they look awesome.
