Default clunk..... should i worry?

ive been haveing this clunk comeing from what seems like the rearend. it only does it when shifting into 3rd gear, no other time. ive hurd people say it was slack in the gears but that seems to me like it would do it in evory gear.

do you guys know what the problem might be?

thanks

I'd look at the trans mount as well as the torque arm bolts on the rear end..

first off, try real hard to hear if it is clunking when you select any other gear. its possble that it does, and you just dont notice it. first thing i'd check after that would be the u-joints.

i just put a poly tranny mount in, it did it before that also. im almost positive it does not do it in any other gear, they seem as smooth as can me. i also just put in an alum. DS and thoes bolts are tight.

the thing is it only does it when just regular driveing, when im gettin on it and it shifts hard their is no noticable clunk.

if anyone else has any input you can I/M me on aol and we can talk about it or just leace something on here.

thanks

Mine did the same thing but only at a certain speed, It went out just a few weeks after it started to get louder.
