BIG cubes LS1 Guys-Do you have any knowledge of dyno increase when runing no mufflers
Have you guys ever dynoed your car with no mufflers on you big cubed LS1s to see exactly how much power you gain by running straight pipe and no mufflers. My new 427 will go thru full length TPIS headers, no cats, and into 3 inch custom exhaust and then thru B&B Rt 66 exhaust. Please indicate if you run catless also with your big cubed LS1s and whether you ran catless when you did the comparison between mufflers and no mufflers.
Anyone else have any direct knowledge of someone else who has done this and what power they picked up (HP & TQ) at the wheels. I am strongly considering cut outs for the drags and for radical ocassional fun on the street and want to see whether its worth the extra $.
Thanks,
MTI 427 Roadster

Check out Nineball's dyno pull (gained 27rwhp and 27ft-lbs with the cutouts open):

Don't know if his SLP setup uses any mufflers or not, so the gain might have been in bypassing the cat(s)?
