Default cruise control question

The cruise on my new Z28 doesn't work. I checked the fuse under the hood and it was good. Is there anything else I should be checking? Will I have to have it hooked up to a diagnostic computer? Is there anything that is known to be a problem in the cruise control system?

thanks,

You can check your cruise cable to make sure it did not break or come out of the TB bracket.

both of the cable that are attached at the throttle body are hooked up and apear to work. Is there another place that they attach to? Also where is the CC module? I heard that this could be the issue.

If you look on the driver side, there's a couple of ground wires that is bolted to the frame (around the area of the AIR pump). One is a copper wire that runs to the block, the other one is a small black wire. That black wire is somehow hooked into the cruise control and if doesn't have a good contact on it, cruise control will not work. I know b/c after a cam swap, I overlooked this wire and for 2 months couldn't figure out why my cc wasn't working. One day I saw it dangling while under the car, fixed it and my cc worked again.
