Default FAST intake question

The coolant lines in the back can either be replaced with another ls6 front coolant line, or you can block it off.

My question is, if I block it off, wouldn't that be a bad thing?? I mean wouldn't you WANT a coolant line instead of blocking it off?? More info would be great Thanks!!
