MAF AT 140%,RUNS GREAT
I'VE BEEN READING POSTS ON THE BOARDS FOR YEARS. AND EVERYONE SAYS THAT ANYTHING OVER 120% RICH WOULD HAVE NEGETIVE SIDE EFFECTS FOR TIMING AND/OR OTHER THINGS.BUT THE ONLY WAY I FOUND TO GET MY LTFT TO THE NEGETIVES IS TO START AT 138% UP TO 3750, THEN STAGER IT DOWN TO 105% OVER 7500. THE CAR HAS NEVER STARTED UP BETTER. AND SEEMS TO RUN REAL STRONG. I DO HAVE A GMAF METER AND A BBK 80MM THROTTLE BODY.BUT WOULD THAT CONSTITUTE 138%.WITH THE 30# INJECTORS I UPPED THE INJECTOR WIDTH USING A CHART I FOUND ON THIS SITE.IT WORKED OUT TO BEING LIKE 130%. BUT THEN I BROUGHT IT BACK A FEW % BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS SO LEAN. BY ME UPPING UP THE MAF SO MUCH WHAT KIND OF SIDE EFFECTS SHOULD I LOOK FOR. OR IS IT LIKLY THAT BECAUSE OF THE THROTTLE BODY AND GMAF, THAT MUCH AIR IS ACTUALLY GOING INTO THE MOTOR AND NOT BEING REGISTERED BY THE SENSOR
