Default Waranty Question?

A coworker bought a new Gm vehicle in 2005 She has driven 50,000 in 1 calendar year. Her head is now cracked. Any suggestions as to asking for this to be covered under warranty? I know she only has a 3yr/36 warranty but does GM make any exceptions? Any help or advice would be great-

I'd say she's SOL.

It won't be covered.

Only things covered after 3/36K that I know of are the PCM and cats for 8/80K under the Fed Emissions Warranty.

Default Maybe

I understand your point of view. Some dealers have gone the extra mile to cover folks that were in the 3yr window regardless of the mileage. Remember that I am not talking about a supercharged Vette that blew a rod. This is a normal stock passenger car that did not make it past 50,000miles. While techncally she is not covered I am just wondering what points could be made to help improve her situation.

Thanks
ben
