Made a few WOT runs with a Tech II today - feedback please
I'm still an EFI newb, but here's what I got on a couple WOT runs at lunch:
0* knock retard
14.6 A/F ratio
-2 LTrims
I just wanted to make sure the car was running okay since I won't be adding any mods in the near future (the winter beater needs a new engine). Should I be okay here? TIA
'02 Z28 w/ SLP CAI, K&N, lid, descreened stock MAF, ported TB w/ bump stop mod, SLP 2OTL catback

0 degrees KR and negative LTFT's are great.
The A/F is a useless figure for your WOT tuning, unless you are doing it with a Wideband O2 (usually at a dyno). WOT A/F ratio, as far as tuning goes, is some value per RPMs.
O2 Sensors can help you ball-park a decetn A/F ratio, if you know how to read them and have a tool that logs that data.

0* of KR is great. What was your initial timing advance though?
14.7:1 is stoich, 14.6:1 is going to the rich side of the scale. But that's only important really at idle. At WOT, it should be about .890mV's to maybe .910mV's which equates to about 12.8 - 13.0:1.

That's good to hear about the A/F ratio. I was actually a little nervous that it was that close to stoich as I'd rather be a bit on the safe side than go lean. Next time I get the scanner out I'll have the passenger look at the O2 voltage.
Thanks!
Thanks!
