Its supposed to be the same specs except on the inside its just hollow on the ls6 there is 3 pole like things on the inside plus it feels like it picked up some torque well see someday at a dyno. ohh yeah and there is more intake noise like its just sucking up more air.

looks good.
did you have a ls6 before?

a lot of people dont like it cause they say it gets heatsoak due to metal vs composite ls6, but i dont think its going to affect power a whole lot. Ive been thinking about getting one too, Im curious about the gains. I didnt think about it not having the vertical posts like the ls6, and its interesting about the torque.

You actually gained "feelable" tq? I figured that you might have lost a little bit of the low end.

Thats "Weiand", not "Weiland". "Weiland" is that dude that sings for STP/Velvet Revolver

Looks great. Does the Weiand manifold have a version that works with the 90 mm throttle body? I know the answer is probably not. I'm waiting for an aluminum intake that works with the 90mm tb. Plastic intakes just don't cut it.

I'd much rather have the intake made out of aluminum than plastic. Especially when running nitrous...

I had both a GM LS6 intake manifold and a Ported Weiand Aluminum LS6 style manifold on my 346. The ported aluminum manifold made about 7RWHP more than the plastic GM LS6 manifold did. On my car the GM plastic LS6 manifold made 17 RWHP more than the plastic GM LS1 intake manifold did. Heat soak really doesn't make that much of significant difference with the aluminum manifold as some would say it does, and they look good polished.

I only gained 12rwhp with an LS6 intake and S3 TB.

You should have seen more of an increase in the RWHP than 12 with the lS6 intake manifold alone. Did it need to be tuned?

My vote is for the Weiand. That manifold definitely looks nice. If they come out with one that a 90mm can bolt up to, I'll be all over that like a fat kid on a cupcake!!!

Nice looking engine you got there, what model AFR heads are those? What kind of power are you making with your 408?

Thanks. Those are the 225 cc's. I just got the engine Thursday, so it's not installed yet. LME built the shortblock.

I'll be bolting up a TH400 w/ a Fuddle stall so it may or may not break the 500 hp mark on the dyno. I'm more interested in the .25 times though. Hoping to break into the 10's on the motor.

Today, it's just been back-n-forth, back-n-forth, back-n-forth to the parts store. Installing motors is fun
