Default egr vavle tick?

i have a ticking sound and i cant pinpoint exactly where its from and im wanted to know that if the egr vakve is bad will it tick? my car threw a code a lil while back for the egr valve......i have heard of guys removing it ....what is the difference?

One of the exhaust manifold gaskets is probably bad man...

A "ticking" sound can also be electrical, like a plug wire arcing somethere. Start the car in complete darkness and look at your plugs/wires/coils/connectors for any arcing.

did you try unplugging the egr yet?

also, if you want ya can take some watter in a spray bottle with the lights off to help find a spark jumping. i have the same problem i just figure its an exhaust leak but ima do what he said about unpluging it here ina little and see what happens.
