What offset do you guys think is best?

What offset do you guys think is best? Im sure this question has been answered already, but I couldnt find the answer with the search button.
First, I have a 2002 SS and I am looking to get some chrome 18 inch Z06 wheels. If I get a +56 offset will that move the wheels in a bit and require a BFH?
If that is correct, do you guys think a +56 offset is best for all four wheels, or is it better to get +56 for the fronts and +54 for the rears?
Lastly, if those offsets suck, what is the best? +53? or are those impossible to get?
