Default so, what connectors...

..are by the tranny? i was under the car the other day messing around with the sending unit for my oil temp gauge (which is above the oil filter) and i noticed a connector above the tranny, is well, not connected to anything.

it looks like an 02 connector, and its a female end. i know its not for the 02s, since both fronts are connected, and the rears are way in the back.

i dont remember what it is, or messing with it. but it caught my eye. its in a black loom with other connectors, one of them goes to the tail of the tranny. the wires are short, so it cant be stretched very far, and its on the driverside all the way towards the top of the tranny.

any ideas what it is? last time i messed with the car was months and months ago, so its nothing too important as the car runs fine. but i wanna know what it is.

It may be a connector for the trans (either the skip shift/reverse solenoid) if you have an auto, or something to do with the auto (if you have the M6

Have you removed the rear O2's? Could be the rear O2 plugs.
