Default Is there a trick to removing the rear interior panels?

I have a 94 camaro and need to remove the rear panels that cover therear speakers. I can get the snaps fine, but I can't seem to get the coat hook off and I think that is what is holding me....Is ther any tricks or fasteners I am missing? Help

if it is similar to mine then you should be able to pry a middle part out of the coat hanger part, this will let you pull it out, then you should be able to yank the whole panel out which in my case was held on basically with velcro

So is it one of those "wall anchor" type fasteners like under the hood and cowl panels?...I heard the velcro behind it.

no the coat hanger should be two seperate pieces, you should be able to pry the inside piece out and that allows you to compress the outsides of the clip to slide it out then the whole panel comes off

yep there's a small slot in the center of the coat hanger for a screw driver. Be warned though--it works the same as a christmas-tree type fastener, so it'll be tough to get the center pryed out.

you can buy a trim removal tool that is spring loaded. i just used it yesterday and its a hell of a lot easier than using flathead screw drives and pliers...popped them out within seconds. i got mine from advanced auto parts for 20 bucks

i took my interior apart with no trouble at all. I just did it with a screwdriver and my hands. I too have a 94.
