Default Has anyone installed an aftermarket steering wheel?

I was thinking about changing my stock steering wheel, I know I will lose the airbag and I’m ok with that. Does anyone have any pictures of what they’ve seen or have?

here's a pic of my interior and what i'm thinking about goin with...any thoughts?

there you go. I don't usually like aftermarket steering wheels, but that should look okay

I think it will look pretty good. Probably not as face friendly as an airbag, but at least it will look good!

Just a request, please keep the no air bag bashing outta this thread..

That wheel looks great, although I think I would rather have a round one for DD... I roll my hands across the wheel in parking lots and stuff, and think that would make it okward.

Have you looked at the Grant steering wheels. They have one I think is called the Evolution and the GT, both of which would like pretty cool.
The MOMO is nice, but something about that flat bottom just doesn't do it for me. Check out Grant.

Brian2006: Nope, I’m only 5-8 but it’s a bit of a habit tilting the wheel like that…even more so with these seats (Corbeau GTS II). They ride much higher then the stock seats did…part of the reason I like the flat bottom of this steering wheel.

Parbreak: I will have to check out the Grant ST’s thanks!

Spuds: I roll my hands across the wheel too but I’ve noticed I don’t roll them that much. BTW, Are you callin me a hobbit (jk)

I noticed your floor mats are basically the exact thing that I have been looking for for a while now. Please PM me the website that you got them from!

Thanks!

Here is a completely moronic question, but...

can anyone explain how the quickly detachable steering wheels work? Can u do that with any Grant type steering wheel pretty much with some type of a kit... or do you have to get a whole nother (hehe) type of steering wheel?

I have an old car non-power steering dodge dart with a large grant wheel (for more turning power) and it doesn't have tilt on the column, so its pretty hard to get in and out. Would be nice to have a quick release wheel like u see on nascar and nhra events
