Question 9" Question??????????????

My buddy has a few 9" rear ends layin around. he said he'd sell me one for something like $100 or so. will it be wirth buyin one and havin it fab'ed up to fit my camaro? is there anything i can do to make sure the rear is in good working condition????

oh it's a Camaro z28 Ls1 6 speed if that helps any

make sure it isnt rusted, no holes..that sort of stuff.

Who's doing the fab work? do the have tools are they going to charge you more to patch up some old junk yard peice than a new Moser? Theres more than a dozen threads that cover this sort of thing

if he has a 9 inch with 31 spline axles, posi and a decent gear ratio i'ld just take the center section and buy a moser axle and housing package. Then assemble and go.

$100?? hmm i spent 2000 on mine(center section, axles housing, TA mount..etc) id say look at it first then buy it....like the previous guy said use moser housing and so on...that way if center section fails you can buy just a new center vice alll new.....
