Default Engine noise

Is all that piston slap noise I hear when the engine is cold causing excessive wear and is there anything speacial I should do? thanks

It wont cause any wear on the motor but from what i hear use a thicker oil.

It just sounds bad. Piston slap is "normal" for ls1s'
