Default Cracked Flexplate????

My car has a "clacking" noise. its not an exhaust leak, or KR, and its nothing in the top of the motor. Its not a piston either (i know what those sound like...)

so, i'm thinking it might be a crack in my flexplate. in park/neutral you wont hear it until about 2000 rpms. But, i put the car in gear, stood on the footbrake, and stalled it up to about 2400 with no sign of the noise. when driving it, you can hear it at about 3000+ rpms. i havent given it much throttle at all (kinda scared to) but it doesnt really seem like performance is lacking.

So, does this sound like my diagnosis could be correct? i would think if it was a rod bearing i would hear it constantly..

Its raining right now, so i cant go check it. Any opinions?

Sounds lke a cracked flywheel. 2000 and up flywheels are pretty weak.
