Default Tire size - 94 TA

I have a 94 TA and am wondering about tire mods. What's the max width and height I can go w/out the tire rubbing on the fender? I heard you can't go too wide? Have 245/50/16's right now. What mods do you have to do to put 17" wheels on it? Thanks for your insight.

I have 17X9s, I run 275/40/17s with no issues, you can run a 315 on a 11 inch rim but it takes some modification.

.....I've also got 17 x 9 rims & 275 x 40 x 17 tires {several different makes of tires. Kumo, Goodyear, etc.}. And I had 285's on the front once. I had to cut back the rubber bounce stops on each side of the rear end. Plus a little hammer work on the inside front of the rear fender wells. Other than that they fit. I've read where every car is different, some need a little more 'pounding' than others. Also if you have an adjustable panard bar it can help. They are more stable than the stock one. Plus you can adjust them so there is equal length between tire & body on each side...... hope this helps ya.... bill
