Default No first or fourth, somtimes.

I put a cam in my car last Friday *Torquer v.2* and after that my car will not shift into 1st or OD at times. If I come to a stop it starts off in second then will shift to third but wont even lock up. But then after awhile it will start using them again. Would this be a tuning problem? If so could some body tell me how to fix it using HP Tuners?

Thanks in advance,
Devon

have you checked for codes, you probably have a code for a shift solenoid. need to verify your solenoids aren't going bad before tuning.

Yes a 4l60-e has a shift stratagy using 2 shift solenoids if one is bad you will only have 1st and 4th if the other is bad it results in 2nd and 3rd only and sounds like they are temperature sensitive with it being intermittent.

check for codes first p0757 is the one that will lock you out of certain gears. If i remember right you got your converter (fuddle 3,600) when i got mine(remember your in car vids of the stock stall and then the fuddle).. The 2001-2002 f-bodys dont like converters over 3,200 rpm, if it senses too much slipping it will throw the code which in turn will lock you out of certain gears. I had that problem and thought i toasted the trans till i found the info on this site.. If you want to verify that its the pcm and not the solenoids, go out for a drive and see if all gears work. Then find some place where you can go and just brake stall it past 3,000 rpm for a few seconds. Right after doing that the code should set and then lock you out of the gears. Simply turn the car off for a min, then restart the car and drive it. If you have your gears back then its the pcm.
