Default HELP needed a.s.A.P

I need to know how far the crank hub needs to go on with a a double roller chain with no reluctor ring? (97 lt1) Since my hub is not keyed it only go's up to the key is this far enough?

Thanks for the help!

You'll feel when it's supposed to stop moving. When the crank pulley is installed, there should be about 1/4" between the pulley and the opti.

Reluctor Ring is the Crank Position Sensor (CPS) 96-97 only right? Dude read this, did a little search for you http://forums.corvetteforum.com/prin....php?t=1127999. 96GS#007 (username) summed it up, about the 5th or so post down in the thread, that would suck having to get another crank hub. Bottom line is you CANNOT leave any space, you have to tighten it all the way up. But if you removed the CPS gear and the crank hub can go no further you'll probably have to get a bronze gear either made or if it's on the market to make up for the 1/8" or so. Wish I could help you more.

EDIT: dude read down even further "RICHS" comments in detail about the woodrif keyways and tolerances. Good luck bro.

I was thinking about that key the whole time

When the hub is on all the way there should be almost NO clearance from the inside lip of the hub to the front of the crank as well as the timing chain gear and Reluctor being pinned and not moving.
