Where can I score some lift plates for an LS1 so that I can lift it up and yank an oil pan?? FYI this engine is on a crate, not in a car with a trans hooked up to it.

I'm trying to do this for a member who needs my GTO pan asap.
I thought I could lift it with chains but the chains obviously will go under the oil pan and that won't work.

Anyone know where I can get these, I need them ASAP. Thanks.

Can't you just run a bolt in the front and rear of the heads and lift it that way, instead of looking for lift plates

exactly what he said.... just did this last night to put a motor in a crate. works just fine.

Never seen 'em for an LS1.

I have the Happy Hooker for my LT1 though. Hey, looks like on the web site, they say it works for the LS1. Those things are great.

I've always just used bolts and a chunk of chain myself...

The chain works a lot better since you don't have to go look around for the lift plate but I have a lift plate and have to admit that I like it alot better than the chain since I don't have to find places to bolt the chain to and everything. Just my two cents.

Oh, forgot to mention that the lift plate I have is for a carb'd motor. Not sure if it applies to this situation but just go ahead and use the chain .
