Thoughts on aftermarket damper (crank pulley)? Thoughts, Pros, cons, on aftermarket fluid dampner for LT1 corvette? Found an o.e. weight of around 17lbs. And found a aftermarket that weighs 8.8lbs. Does anybody have any experience with this?

If you are going to buy an aftermarket dampener, do yourself a favor and buy an ATI. They are easier on cranks, bearings, and are usually worth a couple hp. Don't just buy something light. There are better places to save weight.
