Default Body kit...removal?

I just bought a Z28 a few weeks back, and it has the Xenon body kit on it. The kit for the most part is in good shape, but the front airdam needs to be replaced/painted. My question is this, if I decided that instead of buying a new airdam...and just removing the entire body kit, how difficult might that be? It looks like it's held on by some sort of glue... The kit is kinda fugly and it's just extra weight/ground clearance issues.

What do you all think?

I guess I may just have to call some local body shops and ask what they might charge to do it. I'm afraid I'll tear something up lol.
