Default Scratches on Windshield

I have a 99 SS m6 bought about 3 months ago. I guess the previous owner did not know how to change the wiper blades, because when I got the car there was no blade left and scratches all over the windshield where the blades run. Does anyone have suggestions of how to remove the scratches? I have tried some scratch remover from Auto Zone. It helped some but still have lots of scratches left.

Around here there are guys who own glass repair vehicles that come out to wherever the car is and fix it. They can do just about anything. Check around for them or go to a very popular used car dealership in town. I bet they know who can help you out and it not usually too much. Good luck!

I have heard that once the scratches are in the glass the only way to fix it is to replace the windshield.
