Sound deadening project

Sound deadening project
Started off with just a blown speaker. Snow-balled into a full blow audio project. Just couldnt help myself. Needed a new speaker and ended up with a full system which meant I had to go with an install overblown as well.
Did sound deadening is in a 3 step process for my car.
1. Second Skin liquid Spectrum.
2. Raamat
3. Ensolite foam

But I would do it for someone for a small fee. The liquid coating has to dry for at least 24hrs. Its not an overnight project. Its tedious work at times but I have nothing else to do. Should make the ride a whole lot quieter.

Well not done with the install yet. The matting pro'lly added 40-60 lbs. But I've got audio equiptment going in as well. My guess is when I'm done I will have added about 110 lbs or so. Not really worried about extra weight in my car, I've got plenty of torque to get it moving.

Well good weather has permitted me to work on the car some more. Got the punch list down to a dozen or less things to do, not including re-installing the complete interior. But its staring to take shape. Need crimpers for 0/1 awg wire. I'll have to borrow some. Damn amp is huge and presenting a few problems but nothing that cant be worked out.

thx dude, I put the new kick panels on to see how good it all hides and its beautiful. I almost got emotional. Those new kicks look sweeeet and all is hidden. When the carpet is in place you wont see a thing. The door panels I'm having to alter though. In order to seat the speakers as best as possible I used the mounting rings that came with them. But this made them protrude and interfere with the door panels, which are as tight as a **** with all the sound deadening on them So I’m having to cut and shave the door panel to fit around the new grill. This will be interesting to get it aesthetically correct. The tweets will be on the a-pillars, I’ll use two sided tape to hold them until I figure the correct height for them, then I’ll seat them into the a-pillars. I still need to run wire for the rear fill speakers, which I dont have yet either. A friend has some mb quarts for me for $25 that one needs to be repaired and he has the kit for it. I just need to get up the hill to see him. He can also do the crimping for me.
