What does the Z28 turn signal relay look like?
I've done a search regarding the turn signal relay for my '99 Z28. There are a few thread regarding "turn signal problems", but they haven't been much help.
- Both my turn signals stopped working; no lights/blinking on dash or outside.
- Fuses are good / bulbs are good
- Hazards still work.
I've read that the hazards/turn signals use different relays. I think I've found the hazard relay; a canister-like object on the left side under the dash. When I turn on the hazards, the ticking comes from this relay. Does this also control the turn signals? Theres another relay right next to it, but it looks more like a cube. I took it out and it disconnected my rear-hatch release. So now I'm confused.
-Does the canister-shaped relay control the turn signals and hazards?
- Is there another relay for the turn signals?
- Is this relay that connects to the rear hatch part of the turn signal relay?

OK, problem fixed. I did find two flasher relays: one for the hazards, one for the turn signals. They both look the same, but are in different places. The hazard relay is located up on the left of the dash, behind the headlight control panel/driver a/c duct. The turn signal relay is located next to where your right leg would be when driving. When you remove the knee panel, it will be tucked in the lip of the panel near the radio/climate controls.
I'll put a pic up for better reference later.

anyone know the part number for a new relay? i think my turn signal relay is bad, when i turn on my turn signal, the green arrow on the dash comes on and stays on (doesnt blink) and the actual turn signal (outside of car) will flash off, this happens on both right and left side, hazzards work fine...confused, both housings are new, both harnesses (or sockets) are new, both bulbs are new, checked the wiring and its all correct...
