Default oil change

i got my first oil change on my z28 the other day and every since the change oil light has been coming on..it only comes on when i start it up and stays on for like 1 minute then goes off and doesnt come back on until i restart it again???any ideas anyone ever had their car to do this...is it normal

also whenever i put significant amout of weight in my hatch or in the backseat my car has a bad grind/rattle to it...i figure has to be something with my suspension...only does it when i have probably 200lbs or so in the back????

The oil change light is your car's "friendly" reminder to change your oil. The computer bases it off of how many hours/miles the car has gone (I believe) and decides on it's own when it "thinks" you should change your oil.

To make it go away, do the following:

Turn the key to the "on" position (vehicle not running).
Press the accelerator to the floor three times (no more than 5 seconds apart).
The next time you turn the car on, the little light won't come back on again (until it "thinks" you need another oil change).
