Question on different axle ratios available from the factory...
Can somebody please help me with the following questions...
1) What are the different axle ratios available from the factory on the M6 and A4 from 1998-2000?
2) Is there any easy way to find out which gears are in a given Z28 when searching ads on Autotrader or Ebay?
Thanks for the help guys.

All M6's came stock with 3.42's. A4's came stock with 2.73's, 3.23's were optional. (I think on A4 SS's and WS6's they may have been standard, don't quote me on that)
Only way I know how to tell which A4 gear is which is to look at the RPO code on the driver's door. GU2 = 2.73'S, GU5 = 3.23. Don't know any other ways to find out...

Did the GU5 option come with anything other than the 3.23's? If one opted for GU5, were there any other option codes that had to be selected? Just looking for some way to possibly identify which cars on Autotrader have the 3.23's without asking each dealer/owner individually to look up the RPO code on the driver's door. Thanks for the help!
