What Kind of track car? Id assume 1/4 mile, and if so Id have to go with a properly built th350 with a wicked stall. Its hard for me to say because I am a Manual transmission diehard, but if its just a track car and your looking for some pretty deep ets definetly go with the Auto.

Apples to apples an auto will out sixty foot a manual. The manual will out mph the auto. Over time the manual will be harder on parts. The auto will be easier to drive if you are trying to win races.

Good Luck,

Daren
