After all the work I’ve done to this car, I had it up on a lift for the first time today. Just wanted to check out everything and service the diff and trans. Of course, the dangling rear put the suspension snubbers right into the tires, even after I’ve trimmed them. Damm, if I ever fully drop the rear on a bump, the tires will get cut off the wheels! Scary, I think I’m gonna eliminate the snubbers completely. I’d rather bottom out hard than slice off both tires at the same time. I wanna keep this car shiny side up.
AND, while I had the diff open, I wanted to confirm the ratio however, due to the tires jammed up top, I couldn’t turn the rear to count the teeth or see the ratio/tooth code stamped on the pinion gear. I did get the following number off the pinion: 26019045-13. Can anybody ID this for me?
