Default Vin numbers and car history

Is there a Web site that I can enter the vin number of my car into and it will tell me about my car?Like when it was built what options it started life with etc?

The only one I know of is Carfax, but it only tells you what engine and transmission it has... Sometimes it'll tell you original color, but that's about it...

Sorry I can't help much.

The RPO sticker in your door has codes for all the options it was built with, build date will take some more time

There is not a website to get this information from your VIN, but you can get it by giving your VIN to a GM dealership and having them get a printout about your car from the GM vehicle records database.

This page has an RPO decoder and a VIN decoder.

There are others if you Google for RPO DECODER...
