Default oil in my FAST 90 w/ a AMW catch can

So I picked up a 383 z06 a few weeks back, and the thing supposedly goes through about a quart every 3k miles (I only have a few hundred miles on her, but I added 1/2 a quart today)

Anyways, I was worried about the rings, so I pulled the airbridge and took a look down the intake, and there was a pretty solid coating of 5w30 all over the fast.

Obviously, the AMW catch can is not entirely preventing the PCV oil consumption in my case. Although there was 3-4 ounces in it when I got the car and about .5-1oz in it after a 300 mile hard cruise.

Anything else out there that is known to help, besides a full breather setup?

may sound stupid but a friend bought a car with a amw on it and the previous owner took the check valve out completely....it should go valve cover tube to the check valve to the catch can to the intake....check the simple crap first

Sounds like a PCV delete may be in store for you in the near future.

I have to run a cheap fuel filter between the catch can & the intake.
