Default Basically stock LT1 Vs ''rice'' Integra

Well some kid is getting a new car... and he is already talking crap before he even has it. This is what he says about it:

Stage 2 Turbo
Cold air intake <---?
and ''nice sounding exhaust''

Of course it has a body kit on it and a huge fart pipe, for extra NAWWWSSSS power.

So you think a basically stock M6 LT1 could take it? Mac headers, 3'' exhaust, 160 thermostat, CAI, electric fan, 5.0 shifter / short stick.

With driver added could I easily bus him? Would he keep up? Would he win? I don't know a whole lot about imports.

If it's stock internals, then no fscking way he's going to win.

Im guessing it is, because the car seems to be built by the ''rice handbook for dummies".

Flashy system (made of bad components none the less), body kit, fart pipe, and a turbo just for the BOV sound

Well if all goes good I'll be picking up my formy next week

well, it kind of depends. If it is a gsr and he is running a mid to larger sized turbo, he can be putting down near 300 whp on a stock block. People can run mid to low 13s with thsoe. I personally ran a 14.0 with my ls (b18b non-vetec block) and a stock suspension with a 102 trap. There are so many details here that it is kind of hard to tell. But if anything, id say you have a pretty good shot.

they guy I sold my 95Z 6sp to raced a new model turbo'd 96 integra 5sp w/ 229whp and beat him twice, once from a dig and from a 30mph roll and lost once from a 60-70mph roll if that gives you an idea. Dunno what kinda turbo or how much boost he was running.
When I had it, I beat a turbo'd 95 Eclipse@10psi by about 3 or 4 lengths from a 50 mph roll.
Brickonwheels is right though, my younger sisters B/F has a 98 turbo'd integra that makes 303whp.
I say run the tegra and see. If you go from a dig and hook i think you'll get him cuz he'll most likely bog pretty bad and get some turbo lag. Win or lose though, it doesnt matter cuz its only a race and should be about fun.

There is a guy that I know who has a 1995 2-door Civic, lowered with coil overs, a big muffler, rims, and a Dryer Tube for a CAI. He says that will take my Z.. I ran him from a take off, 30mph roll, 60 roll, and a 80 roll. He got smoked every time, then I maxed him side by side at 110mph, and then I let it go in 4th, and left him. He didn't know what 3.73's were. I was suprised the 3.73's left him at 80 mph, he has a standard and was running in a good rpm range. The best mine ever got was a Twin Turbo Supra. I have been called out to race a 2004 Z06, but I don't have my Long Tubes in yet. That will be a close race.

one of my friends had a 1998 Z28 m6 with intake/full exhaust (hes on these boards but I dont know if he visits them any more much less the LT1 section)
he raced a civic hatch with a stock internal GSR engine and a turbo kit running low boost (I think the boost was in the single digits) and lost. I saw a picture of the hatch's dyno graph. he said it made 300 whp and he was right, but it was at the last possible RPM of the graph. either way it was still a fast car. too peaky for me though. traction seemed to be an issue once the turbo spooled.

just be careful. it sounds like the dude is a run of the mill ricer but you never know.

I raced a turbo civic once when my 3rd gear was broken and I still beat him pretty bad so I would say you have nothing to worry about!

Hahah well me and my friend went and picked up his 95 Formula>02 TA conversion (LT1 motor and frame, LS1 body with ram air). It's stock except for a shift kit.

Well just as he was dropping me off, I see the teg the kid has been talking up and we flip a bia and hurry up to follow him. Get beside him and my friend is piping him and he farts back (worst sound ever). Anyways we get by him on a long stretch except there was one car in front of us. Both hammered down, and we were right at the top of first. First lasted us a second tops and we're side by side. Soon as 2nd kicks in we just take off. We would have buslengthed him except for a car right in front of us.

Talked to him on aim tonight and he said ''typical v8, and he only beat me by a half a car length)
