do anybody know if i can have a key cut by a dealer with the vin # somebody told me that hey can do it with a vin #

You are correct, go to your nearest GM Dealer service department, they might need an id and your vehicle's title, or proof that you are the owner. They should get the Vats # and key code from the VIN#, and with that, they should make you a new key.

yeah i use to work in a parts department, just bring your vin and proof of ownership and an ID and if they have it in stock they can call in the vin and get the code and cut it for you
