what are the stock gears in a 1997 trans am made a bet with a friend just wanted to know

3.23 for auto, 3.42 for 6sd, 2.73 for auto/convertible

Look in the glove box for a code. It will be either GU4, GU5, or GU6

2.73s are a standard ratio for autos, 3.23 are the optional package. 3.42s are standard on all 94+ M6 cars.
