Default Finally! ASCD hood is in and waiting for paint.

Hood finally arrived. Excellent quality WS6 hood. With only minor adjusting, was able to close it and get on my way quickly. Didn't do an "exact" fitment, as you can see on the drivers side rear cowl, since it's coming off in a week and half for paint anyways. But overall the fit was great right out of the box. Thanks ASCD. Here are a few pics...

Interested to see how it finally turns out after paint and exact fitment. ASCD usually fits like crap.

Are you sure about that?

From what I normally hear, ASCD is one of the best-fitting and highest quality hoods you can get other than OEM....

That's what I'm saying. Just from bolting it on it fit damn near flush. One of the reasons I went with ASCD was reputation. Second was the GP. It really lined up better than I thought, and this was the first hood I've ever bolted on. I didn't touch the headlight doors or fenders at all. Lowered the hood latch a smidge and that was it. It will go in for paint in 9 days, so depending on how long it takes, it shouldn't be more than 3 weeks from now to see the final results.

Yea, the ones I've seen have fit like crap. Just personal experience though. I'm sure there are also ones that fit well, such as in this case.

That looks exactly like my VFN hood....Same shape that I don't like. The real WS6 hood is different and thats why I want a real one. Mine was black and I have the outline by the nostrils. Make sure the hood is sanded and blocked really good, or it will be wavey.
