Base hood... Ram Air intake?
My T/A has the base (non-ram-air) hood. Two questions:
1. Would the WS6 ram air box interfere with hood closure?
2. How much can I raise the front of the factory air box (with spacers) without hood interference?
Thanks.... Bill... (new T/A owner)

The ws6 lower intake wont fit. I'm not sure how high you can raise the stock air box and search doesnt go back that far anymore. You could shim it a little at a time, slowly closing the hood till you have a little contact. Then lower it just a tad.

Thanks Rhino...
Yeah, I tried searching, but this is probably old news (everyone knows except me!!!)
I'm going to try using some spacers this weekend. I appreciate the feedback....

You can just put washers under the the lower assembly where the bolts go through. At least thats what I did back in the day untill I got a new hood and lower airbox.
If you dont have a lid already another thing that works well with the stock hood is the K&N fipk kit. Its cheaper than a hood/lower airbox and alot of people have had good success with them.

Thanks...
Yeah, I just bought the SLP air lid. Love it so far.
I do have plans for the Ram Air hood. By the time it's shipped, painted and installed + the lower air box assembly, I'll prolly have $1200 invested. Need to wait til next year for that!
