Default Procharger Proflo adjustment

My surge valve is not opening all the way making that "pshh" sound, instead its opening and closing really fast. Can this thing be adjusted to just make one big blowoff sound upon letting off the throttle?

The valve normally doesn't require any adjustment. If its not opening all the way then the screw has been adjusted in to far possibly. Turn the screw out 2 turns and check its action.

I took out the spring that is in the diaphram of my Proflo.. Its a limp noodle spring... It is very easy to compress... The adjustment on the bov just opens and closing the round valve inside the bov.. I figured if i adjusted it the bov would be harder to open hense not let the boost out..

The spring doesn't hold the valve closed. Boost pressure applied to the diaphragm holds the valve closed. The spring just biases the valve to be closed when little or no vacuum is applied. IOW the spring is supposed to be soft.
